Installed the Super C panniers and the Super C rack bag. The bike is a Surly Karate Monkey with an Old Man Mountain rear rack. The quality of these bags is amazing, and there’s tons of room! Now my only problem is keeping myself from packing too much!
Brilliant service and bags excellent
It's in the title. I've used these in multiple days of 30mm+ rain (I checked the weather station to confirm) and my stuff stays dry. If you were going cycling in the rain every day dry bags would be good but everyone is kidding themselves that they think unwinding a roll top bag every time they need something from a pannier is worth it for the once every year you push your bike through a river or ride in a monsoon.
The back pocket is awesome as well. Excellent product.
They are simply great. Big enough to take my fully loaded bigger backpack with notebook and lunch boxes without the need to "sqeeze it" in. So commuting to work is comfortable now.
I though about Ortlieb but I don't like the roller closing - because I often need to get out something from the panniers also during the trip - and it is easier here (just unlock the clips).
What I have missed on the pictures is the inside of the panniers. There is one plastic plate on side to prevent scratching the pannier by the rack and another one on the bottom that keeps the pannier shape when it is empty. On the top of the pannier there is a textile cover that you can tidy by integrated string. Good is that if you don't want to use it, just leave the string unlocked... There are no partitions splitter inside what is OK.
I like also that the bottom of the integrated bottle bag is full, so you can carry there e.g. small fixing tools without the risk of loosing them.
Pay attention - the aluminium hook holder has very sharp edges so you can cut your gingers when mounting the hooks.
I don't like too much the carrying straps on top of the panniers. I have a feeling they can get in contact with the wheel.
I don't understand also why the outside plastic cover on the wheel sideof the pannier is longer than the pannier itself. So when you put fown the pannier to the ground, it lies on one side on this plastic cover and I think it can break easily or scarath the ground or sofa where you lay down the pannier.
An excellent design. Clips on easily but securely. Robust. I particularly like the absence of an annoying elastic downhaul . I often used to forget to attach the elastic with potentially bad consequences
