Review

Bought this for the odd day ride and after a few trips, probably about half a dozen, one of the zip pulls completely frayed. This was not through misuse at all as I am very precious about my cycling equipment. I emailed Carradice and the reply I got was that these are not made in this country and that I should seal the end of the pull with a lighter, which I am definitely not going to do any thing that would spoil the looks of what appears to be like a new bag. What kind of an excuse is that? Carradice obviously want to cash in on their supposed good name for quality to sell these bags but do not want to guarantee the same standard. I have had one of their barbags before as I wanted something a bit more traditional looking for my Moulton but I felt there was a design issue concerning opening and closing so wasn't really happy with that. Needless to say I will not be buying anything made by Carradice again and I will be sticking to Topeak or Ortlieb in future as I have had no complaints at all after 12 years of touring
