The Lowsaddle Longflap is the smaller cousin of the Camper Longflap. It has similar properties and features of the Camper but it is much shallower making it ideal for people who don’t have much room below their saddle for a large saddlebag. The extendable flap allows the load capacity to be increased upwards. The saddlebag comes with 3 leather straps for attaching to the bike. Traditional style and unsurpassed quality.

Made from 100% waterproof 18 ounce cotton duck – the original performance fabric with self-sealing seams.  It is easily re-proofed and repaired. Quality leather straps  keep their strength and looks no matter what weather and conditions they face. Buckles and fastenings are all metal – we know they can take decades of regular use. All of our saddlebags can be made without leather content - we substitute recycled fire hose material instead.

Carradice low saddlebag

I have not used it much as the weather has been unhelpful. However this is the second Carradice bag I have owned and the first one was excellent. I do not see an y reason that the new one will be anything other than equally good

I've had my Black/Ivory Lowsaddle longflap for 4 years now. I've re-proofed it once or twice but it essentially still looks like new. First used with a Classic saddle bag rack for commuting and a Welsh North to South tour. In the last two years I also bought the larger Camper Longflaps to ride a LEJOG. I now use both with a Bagman QR expedition, better suited for the increased load of the large 24litre bag. For the LEJOG I also added the support struts, although not required when using the Lowsaddle bag.
The bag is stylish, practical and robust. Both rack options I've tried have worked well. I'm very happy with my bags.

I wanted a good looking and spacious bag to fit to go with Dawes Galaxy for my 20 mile round trip commute. So very practical and stylish, totally goes with my bike and more importantly it keeps all my stuff dry. I use it with a QR Bagman Sport which makes it so much easier to remove. Despite being one of Carradice’s larger bags, there is no sway or wobble, and some of my commute is off-road. Because of this I’m going to fix it to my gravel bike in the summer instead of the sausage style bike packing bags you see so much these days.

Because I use the Bagman support, the bag is held more upright which means the pockets don’t lie at an angle. I’ve used to extendable flap a few times too. It fastens tightly, the only downside is that it exposes some of the lighter draw bag material so may compromise the waterproofness in a really heavy downpour.

I love the fact that the materials are top quality and parts are sourced in the UK and made here too. You can tell it’s built to last.

An excellent bit of kit. Highly recommended.
