Tough as old boots

I like the shabby chic look but that aside:
I've used my Super C's extensively throughout Eire, Scotland, England, Spain and Portugal. They have coped with extremes of weather in these places. Achill Islands and Altnaharra in very heavy rain; Europe in searing heat, they've been completely reliable.
I had to buy a new set of pannier hooks as one hook had become loose.
I prefer the single compartment style; it's much easier for storing and accessing gear, sometimes quickly.
Very easy to take on and off my rack.
I have sports rollers on my front racks which are fine but with hindsight I should have bought the Super C front panniers too.

Best touring/adventure/expedition panniers

Not flash or trendy, but these are the best and toughest panniers available IMO. Mine have toured on road and off road and been horribly overloaded, left outside in all weather's for over 10 years, and have never let me down. I managed to repair accident damaged stitching break at a fastening strap with an M6 stainless steel nut and bolt and two button washers, which has held fine. My son bought Old Man Mountain panniers for more than double what these cost and after one bike packing trip to Morocco they are damaged already, and don't look like they will last like the Carradice offering.

Super Cs are the best!

Installed the Super C panniers and the Super C rack bag. The bike is a Surly Karate Monkey with an Old Man Mountain rear rack. The quality of these bags is amazing, and there’s tons of room! Now my only problem is keeping myself from packing too much!

You don't need ortliebs, these are waterproof enough

It's in the title. I've used these in multiple days of 30mm+ rain (I checked the weather station to confirm) and my stuff stays dry. If you were going cycling in the rain every day dry bags would be good but everyone is kidding themselves that they think unwinding a roll top bag every time they need something from a pannier is worth it for the once every year you push your bike through a river or ride in a monsoon.

The back pocket is awesome as well. Excellent product.
