Still first class

22 years after buying my first pro route for commuting 25 miles each way, then using for touring as well , I decided that 150,000 miles plus, many wash and treat cycles had taken its toll on my cape. So replaced it.
Slightly different with a logo now, is that good? Should I be looking for a fee ?
Still a first class product and my first choice garment in rain. Negates the need for over trousers. I have yet to try the hood as I forget that it has one.
Old one is now stored in my hip bag in service for walking. Still good for the Quantocks, Mendip and Exmoor.

Cycling essential

I have had mine for over 20 years mainly used for commuting and touring.
Negates the need for over trousers, no condensation, keeps the South West winds out and keeps me snug. Bonus is that motorists give me a wide berth as easy to see.
I have just washed and reproofed for spring.
Tipp, wax stitching where thumb loops are fixed.

Review

I have the original version of this cape. Truly essential and keeps you dry in all wet weather. What is not often known is that it also keeps you warm. The tapes keep it in place and there are finger holds as well. This is always in my pannier 365 day a year. In the UK is it really is a good piece of cycling kit and I can thoroughly recommend it. It has outlasted many of my so-called cycling "waterproof "jackets.
