I 100% would give it 10 stars on craftsmanship, sewing and care in construction! If you are looking for a classic, tour the world look and a bag that will take a absolute beating then Carradice original line of saddle bags is what you want. Now all that said, I am no stranger to cotton duck cloth. Growing up with a father who was in the army we had cotton duck EVERYTHING tents, cots, tarps, duffle bags you name it and we had it in drab green cotton duck! I was surprised then when I was riding bike and it started a light rain for the last of my 6 miles that my bag soaked all the way through before I got home. I only had my tools and some snacks in it but the rain was just a steady light rain and I thought for sure the duck cloth would seal itself up but it did not 🙁. I Will have to "waterproof" treat this bag and the other I got at same time because I do not always have a sunny, warm, perfect day when bikepacking or just going out for a ride. I can not say enough about the craftsmanship though! Great company to buy from.

Very Nice, appreciat the extra loops to transport and fix.
Very stabil in the quickrelease, doesn't wobble. Leather needs time to flex, sturdy. Plenty of room. Have had Rainpants and jacket and lock chain in it and bouket of flowers on the outside on top thanks to the multitude of fix possiblitys. Mud stains a little on the texture , but all stays dry inside. Nice color.
Very happy. Comes with clear mounting instructions if needed.
