Carradice products are great for my daily commuting.
I've been using the Bagman for 6 years. After about 4 years the rails of a saddle broke. I suspect because I often ride rough gravel or trails. Since then I have combined the Bagman with a Nitto R10. In the meantime I also ordered the Bagman Support Struts because it's easier to change from a bike to an other.
I think it's essential to get one of these marvels with a saddlebag. The quick release mechanism is a must in everyday commuting life.
the Bagman support is a simple but very effective piece of kit , it fitted in 5 minutes and works brilliantly.

Great idea and I wanted to love it but as a user of a B67 and a few other knock off similar saddles with springs, I can say the quick release upper plate (the only difference between this rack and the regular) doesn’t have any room or would need to be a few inches longer to clear the springs and the back of the saddle. Just order the regular clamp rack. This should be clearer in the description. That’s why four stars. Carradice was very accommodating when I pointed this out and send me a free plain upper piece that works fine. It’s basically like a seat clamp so I just used an old seat clamp piece until the correct part arrived. I’m getting ready to buy another bag from Carradice, the bags are great. The rack could be a little stiffer. When loading you need to be careful not to make it so heavy as to bend down the rack, which will bend.
Brilliant solution. Once installed, bag removal and refitting takes a matter of seconds. It means that the bag can be swiftly removed when bike is secured, for example, when having a cafe stop. Genius solution.
The perfect companion to my Nelson Longflap. Doesn't look out of place on a modern road bike.
Wish I knew. It hasn’t arrived and Carradice is non responsive on how to settle the issue. Bummer
Bought 2 of it for my touring bike and my commuter. What a cool and simple piece of bike equipment!

Bagman Quick Release Saddlebag Support
Excellent rack option. The support keeps your saddlebag secure and in a good position, the quick release works pretty well, although can be a fiddle with a full large bag.
As stated above, when I've used this with a fully loaded Camper Longflaps, I've also added the support struts to the seatstays. This works well and spreads the load.
My Bagman QR expedition is however fine on its own for normal loads, normally with a Lowsaddle longflap bag.
Over time I've lost one of the rubber grommets from the quick release and staying on top of the blot torque is important due to the various stresses the mount endures.
A good piece of kit.
I took this along with my loaded Camper Longflap on the South Downs Way for a three day adventure. The rough terrain was hard and the support did bounce a little due to the heavy weight of the bag.
However, both bag, support and myself made it to the end! I have since added the stabiliser struts because on heavily rutted tracks the bag sometimes hit the rear tyre. This should make the whole setup rock solid. A great product. Highly recommended!
I used this on my gravel bike on a largely off-road 5 day expedition. I did use the support struts as my bag was full to near capacity (Nelson Longflap). It kept my bag extremely stable, no wobble whatsoever and I was on some seriously bumpy and rough terrain. I decided to invest in the support struts as my bag was so heavy and the whole system worked brilliantly.
Great holder! I really like keeping the bag off the back of my legs. I have the expedition rack paired with a camper longflap.
One of the quick release pins did fall out on the second day and it is a not so quick release now :/ should have read reviews from other sites before buying. If you buy, I'd encourage putting thread lock on the little pins to keep them where they belong!
