Great bag, With One Issue - Grommets Needed at Attachment Points!

As the previous reviewer noted (on 16 March 2024), The Junior is a great bag but for one issue (and I don't think this is just an issue with the Junior). The attachment points for the bag to the saddle are just two holes cut in the cloth (backed by a wooden dowel).
Over time, those holes in the cloth will definitely fray and potentially rip under a load. They also look crude compared to the construction of the rest of the bag.

I've ordered a brass grommet set so that I can install them myself and take care of the issue. However, one would really expect that Carradice would have thought of this and taken care of it on their own. In all other respects, it is a beautiful and well put together bag.

Saddlebag

The Junior could use some reinforcement around the two hole openings at the top where the loop straps come in and out. Otherwise a very fine and useful bag. Love them.

Review

Used one for a while before moving to a super c audax for the extra pockets, however this is a large and useful bag and light too... ideal for audax or even basic touring with a bar bag up front.
